Fly Movement Dance Company

Jessica Walker | MRC Bonaventure

Fly Movement is a mobile dance school that travels the Gaspé Peninsula to offer workshops and promote physical and mental health. Jessica wants to make this social activity fun and affordable. It’s important to her to have a positive impact on the community, to break isolation and bring people together from the French, English and Mi’kmaq

communities!

To give as many people as possible access to her services, she collaborates with schools and organizations. As a result, free dance classes are offered to the public and to young people in after-school programs and day camps. She’s delighted to be able to share her passion and get to know people from all over the Gaspé!

The loan granted by AMCGÎM helped the company get off the ground, among other things to purchase portable dance mirrors.

“I’m really grateful to Accès Microcrédit for the loan that enabled me to buy the equipment I needed for my business.

I love dancing and am extremely grateful to be able to share my passion with people! I also love the opportunity to give back to the people in my area and offer them something new and fun, in their native language.”
