What is Microcredit?
Community credit: a global approach
A unique and innovative approach
Accès Microcrédit Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine (AMCGÎM) is a non-profit organization and a member of the Microentreprendre Network, that contributes to the economic development of Gaspésie and the Magdalen Islands. Founded in 2009, AMCGÎM provides support to anyone with a viable business project.
What sets AMCGÎM apart in its offering:
No excluded sectors
However, the project must be financially viable. In addition, the potential market must not already be saturated or close to becoming saturated.
Small loan strategy
In fact, even $1,000 can make all the difference for making a business project a reality.
Investment committees, sharing expertise
Promoters are at the heart of our support, when applying for a loan, promoters come and present their project to an investment committee made up of entrepreneurs from their MRC. This approach emphasizes local autonomy.(in each MRC)
