The Quebec government renews its support for MicroEntreprendre: $12.7 million to support local entrepreneurs
Maria, June 19, 2025 – The MicroEntreprendre Network is delighted with today’s announcement by the Quebec government, as part of the 2025-2028 SME Plan, confirming the renewal of its funding for the next three years. A total of $12.7 million has been allocated to the network to continue its mission of providing microcredit and support to entrepreneurs in all regions of Quebec.
This financial support demonstrates the government’s renewed confidence in MicroEntreprendre’s approach, which places people, proximity, and inclusion at the heart of entrepreneurial action. Thanks to this funding, the network will be able to consolidate its regional presence, strengthen its capacity to assist people who do not have access to traditional financing, and amplify the socioeconomic impact of the projects it supports.
“This support confirms the importance of microcredit as a tool for economic and social transformation in Quebec. As president of the Network, I welcome this commitment, which will enable our network to continue building a more just, more united, and more entrepreneurial Quebec,” added Mona Beaulieu, president of the board of directors of the MicroEntreprendre Network.
“This announcement is a strong recognition of the essential role that MicroEntreprendre plays in local economic development and in the fight against inequalities in access to entrepreneurship. We welcome the government’s vision, which, with the SME Plan, focuses on concrete, inclusive solutions that are in tune with regional realities,” said Ahmed Benbouzid, Executive Director of the MicroEntreprendre Network.
In a context where entrepreneurship is a major lever for development in Quebec, the MicroEntreprendre Network is proud to be part of this collective dynamic, alongside the MRCs, support organizations, and other partners of the Réseau accès PME.
