Clinique d’Hygiène Dentaire Fée Poirier

Geneviève Poirier | MRC Bonaventure

The Clinique d’hygiène dentaire Fée Poirier, located in St-Siméon-de-Bonaventure, is the fruit of the expertise and passion of Geneviève Poirier, a dental hygienist since 1996. Founded in July 2024, the clinic focuses on prevention, education and personalized care, offering an innovative approach to preventive oral health.

For this business start-up project, AMCGÎM joined forces with the Bonaventure MRC. As a result, Geneviève was able to carry out all the planned investments: the acquisition of equipment, furniture and computer hardware, the purchase of marketing materials and inventory for dental care, as well as the fitting-out of the premises.

More specifically, the financing granted by AMCGÎM enabled Geneviève to acquire the equipment needed for the clinic’s operations.

“Going into business is a challenge in itself, but doing so in an area where access to care is limited is a mission that’s close to my heart. With 28 years’ experience as a dental hygienist, I’ve always had a desire to offer accessible, quality care. The creation of my own clinic, Clinique d’Hygiène Dentaire Fée Poirier, represents the culmination of this vision.

The support I received from Accès Microcrédit GÎM was a real springboard, enabling me to start my business on a solid footing. Their financial support gave me the flexibility I needed to manage the unexpected costs associated with starting a new business, while maintaining sound management. Unlike large financial institutions, they understand the realities of our region and the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs.

In addition to providing financial support, their confidence has enabled me to believe in my abilities and focus on growing my business. Today, I’m proud to say that thanks to this support, my clinic is well established and demand for my services continues to grow.”
