Last March, our manager had the pleasure of visiting the Magdalen Islands and accompanying our local agent on a series of activities. Over the course of a week, we met with our valued collaborators and partners. In all, some thirty people took part in our activities. Here’s a brief review of the series of activities organized in the Magdalen Islands. .

March 19 – Bookkeeping workshop

We kicked off the series on March 19 with a free 3-hour workshop on bookkeeping. Nadine Leblanc, owner of Comptabilité Nadine Leblanc inc, came to share her knowledge with our 6 participants. The aim of the workshop was to teach the basics of accounting and follow-up methods. Management and bookkeeping tools were also presented. Ultimately, the participants will have received a knowledge base for carrying out their own bookkeeping.

.March 21 – Networking evening

We continued with a networking evening at L’Îlot Café-Buvette on March 21, to mark National Microcredit Day! For this very special day, we wanted to give the floor to entrepreneurs so that they could talk about their own reality. During the evening, the owners of Îlot Café Buvette, Vanessa and Augustin, shared their start-up experience and talked about the positive impact of microcredit on their journey. We took the opportunity to showcase our services and to exchange with the beautiful entrepreneurial community of the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and with the economic development partners who were present, including the Îles-de-la-Madeleine Chamber of Commerce. Accès Microcrédit GÎM also offered a drink and a bite to eat to the fifteen persons who was there.

.March 23 – Bookkeeping workshop (in English)

Finally, we ended this series in New-Richmond on March 23 with a 3-hour workshop in English on bookkeeping. Pamela Dow shared with our participants her knowledge of the basic principles of bookkeeping and the different methods of follow-up. She also helped participants select the right web software for their business. Once again, the workshop was fully booked!
